Among our many awards and recognitions, we have recently been featured in a two-page spread of the January 2018 issue of The Colorado Wedding Magazine for a wedding we facilitated in Vail, Colorado. We call it our Rustic Chic Mountain Wedding. Please take a look at the story, photos and video below.

Who doesn’t love a mountain wedding where one can enjoy all the beauty Colorado has to offer? This rustic chic wedding was officiated on the Vail Wedding Deck in the Colorado Rockies. This venue has a stone amphitheater with seating for up to 180 people and has an elevation of 10,346 feet so you can start your marriage on a high note! After riding up on the Eagle Bahn Gondola, guests enjoyed a 360-degree view of the Vail Valley and, if you go the right time of year, have a magnificent view of the colorful, changing autumn leaves that were crucial for this bride to have at her wedding. The bride also incorporated her deceased grandmother’s luxurious mink jacket to add a personal touch to her wedding. The brides mother, who actually is a wedding and event planner and hairdresser also styled the brides hair.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour at the poolside bar and basked in the warmth of the fire pits while being served elk skewer hors d’oeuvres with maple chipotle barbecue sauce and imported or micro brew beer, LaMarca Prosecco, and Rodney Strong Cabernet Sauvignon. While guests delighted at the cocktail hour, JK Studios, with a Vail reputation for luxury weddings, walked around Lionshead with the bride and groom. They captured pictures of the couple walking down cobblestone paths, under arched street lamps, and along village storefronts while featuring the fall foliage.

Guests then went to the reception at Cucina Rustica at The Lodge at Vail decorated with lace runners, bistro lights, and dozens of candles giving the venue an intimate and elegant appearance. A delicious meal with the option of having striped bass with pea thyme risotto and tomato-fennel jus lemon, or seared beef filet with grilled asparagus and black truffle whipped potatoes. The dinner ended with an ice cream wedding cake inspired by the bride’s tradition of always having an ice cream birthday cake from Dairy Queen. One van was solely dedicated to the transport of five large coolers with dry ice filled with these cakes to make the two-hour drive from DQ to Vail. Quite a challenge indeed. After the meal, everyone danced to the music of Raising Cain, a variety band, while multi-colored lights gave the dance floor an energetic and contemporary feeling. The finale for this romantic night was pizza for all from the bride and groom’s favorite pizza place in Vail.
